• The Logistec's brushless motor has superior holding abilities to a motor with brushes, making it less likely to run away on sloped ground. Brushes also are normally the weak point in traditional electric motors that tend to burn out under excessive loads or when working in high temperatures. Brush type electric motors need ventilation to keep temperatures lower, making it difficult to keep out water and dust.
• To ensure your Logistec Powered Tug provides years of trouble free service, the motor controller has the ability to count traction hours and ag an alarm when a service is due. Separately it can be set so that after a buffer period, the machine will slow down to a creep speed so that the user has to take service action. Any faults are shown on the display as a code. So if there is a problem, the user can quote the code to allow diagnose, prior to the site visit. The controller also logs all fault history.
• The Logistec Powered Tug has a high IP44 rating which means it is ideally suited for both indoor and outdoor use, including rain and snow conditions. The brushless motor is also suitable for use in extremely high day temperatures.
• The smart battery meter will reduce the machine to creep speed once the battery goes past 80% discharge. This protects the battery and prevents the unit from running at, potentially causing it to become stranded.
