Skid Lifters

Skid lifters are the ideal hybrid tool for workshops, assembly lines, and packing stations. They allow operators to transport goods and then elevate them to an ergonomic working height, eliminating the need for constant bending and heavy lifting. By bringing the load to the worker, skid lifters improve productivity and significantly reduce the risk of workplace strain injuries. They are available in manual hydraulic versions for occasional use or battery-electric models for high-frequency lifting environments.

Skid Lifter

Employees need equipment that can handle different materials, as warehouses contain a wide range of stock. The skid lifter is designed to capably move skids, platforms, stillages, crates and pallets. This versatility makes the skid lifter device a piece of equipment that’s ideal for many workplaces as it can be used to both lift and transport goods.

Skid Tilter

The skid tilter is ideal for unloading and loading crates and stillages. These are widely used in manufacturing and assembly line applications The manual and battery-powered models of the skid tilter both have 800mm long forks, which reach a width of 560mm. Separate controls for lifting and tilting pallets make it simple for employees to operate the equipment, providing simple, safe and effective relocation of goods.

Mobile Skid Tilter

Moving pallets and crates around small spaces can be difficult because of their size and shape. The skid tilter has manoeuvrable wheels so workers can efficiently transport these large items through the workplace.

Skid Lifters FAQs - Answered

What is the difference between a skid lifter and a standard pallet jack?

A skid lifter is designed with a specialized scissor-lift or mast mechanism that allows it to raise loads much higher than a standard jack (up to 800mm or more). While a standard jack only lifts a few centimeters to move a pallet, a skid lifter doubles as a mobile work table.

No. Skid lifters are designed for “open-bottom” skids or containers. Because the support legs sit directly under the forks, they cannot be used with pallets that have bottom boards (like standard Australian pallets), as the lifting mechanism would crush the boards.

Yes. These units are equipped with high-quality polyurethane or nylon rollers and a reinforced handle, ensuring that even at their full 1000kg capacity, they remain easy to maneuver on flat warehouse floors.
